Toledo's 2017 class stays hot, adds pledge from Allen

Toldo is up to fifteen commitments in their 2017 football recruiting class after their most recent pledge of Jamal Allen on Friday morning.

Allen is a 6-foot, 196-pound cornerback from Livonia (Mich.) Churchill High School. He broke down his Toledo pledge with TheRocketNation.com.

My commitment to Toledo was based off the fact of how well the coaching staff and my family and I got along," said Allen. "We have a very strong relationship. My family and I love the foundation of Toledo.

"I like the foundation of family, how close I'm with the coaching staff, and how it's close to home.

His relationship with the Rockets' staff was paramount in leading him to commit to UT.

"I'm very close with coach Candle and Coach robinson," Allen said. "We talk on the daily, and it's just a great relationship. It's way more then a player/coach type of deal."

What will Allen's commitment look like moving forward?

"The commitment is pretty solid," answered Allen. "I will be attending one last camp to Pitt this weekend and that will be it."

Allen holds other offers from Ball State, Buffalo, Eastern Michigan, Kentucky, Miami (OH), and Western Michigan.
