Three Star Linebacker Jaylen Coleman Pledges Toledo

TheRocketNation has learned that highly sought-after three star linebacker Jaylen Coleman has committed to Matt Campbell and the University of Toledo football program. The 6-1 and 220 pound linebacker from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania chose Toledo over offers from Illinois, West Virginia, Cincinnati, Syracuse and Temple, as well as recent interest from Urban Meyer and the Ohio State Buckeyes.
The standout linebacker had once named Toledo, West Virginia, and Cincinnati as his favorites. Then Tim Beckman was hired as the new coach at Illinois and he immediately offered Coleman a scholarship to Illinois. Shortly after that, new hired Ohio State head coach Urban Meyer entered the mix as his staff began recruiting Coleman.

Matt Campbell and his Rocket coaching staff continued to recruit Coleman hard though and they stayed at the top of his list. Today, Jaylen decided that being a Rocket felt right and he called Matt Campbell to pledge his commitment to the Rockets.
Jaylen Coleman is the 22nd commitment in Toledo's 2012 football recruiting class. The first day that Coleman can sign a national letter of intent is on Wednesday, February 1st.
