Three Star JUCO DT Signs with Toledo

Updated 12/19/2012 8:30pm - TheRocketNation has learned that the University of Toledo received a National Letter of Intent this evening from three star JUCO defensive tackle Rob Zimmerman.
Zimmerman is a 6-3, 320 pound defensive tackle from Hutchinson CC in Kansas. Zimmerman originally committed to Texas A&M over the summer. However, Zimmerman injured his ankle in before the season started and missed the entire season due to the injury. About two weeks ago coaches from Texas A&M contacted Robert and told him they no longer had a scholarship available for him.

That opened the door for Toledo. He visited Toledo's campus the weekend of December 5th and enjoyed his visit.
Zimmerman is enrolled in classes at Toledo, beginning in January. He will have three years of eligibility remaining.
Zimmerman was recruited to Toledo by assistant coaches Bryce Saia and Eli Rasheed.
On top of Zimmerman's January enrollment, quarterback commit Logan Woodside finished his last day of high school earlier today. He is enrolling in January classes at Toledo as well. He will not officially be a part of Toledo's recruiting class until January classes begin.
Offensive line commitment Boston Mathews is also expected to enroll in January classes at Toledo.
