Rodney Adams Signs with Toledo

University of Toledo head coach Matt Campbell pulled off some Signing Day magic with the signing of three star WR Rodney Adams.
Adams is a 6-1, 166 pound receiver from Lakewood HS in St Petersburg, FL. He originally committed to Florida before parting ways with the Gators. Adams took his official visit to Toledo on 1/18/2013. He took official visits to Toledo, Cincinnati, West Virginia and UCF in January.

Adams played for Team USA last night in the International Bowl and caught a touchdown pass in the 4th quarter. Adams started at wide receiver and had several catches in the game, including a nice leaping catch in the first half.
Adams narrowed his choices to Toledo and Cincinnati. He brought two hats with him to the International Bowl's Signing Day breakfast this morning. In the end he put on the Toledo hat and signed with the Rockets.
Adams has a 5.7 rating on Rivals, the highest rating possible for a three star prospect. He is the #54 wide receiver prospect in the country, and the 84th ranked overall player in the state of Florida.
Adams was recruited to Toledo by assistant coach Jason Candle. He joins 21 other players that signed with Toledo this morning.
