Mathis Pulls the Trigger for Toledo

TheRocketNation writer Zach Harig has reported that Pittsburgh, PA native Trevon Mathis has committed to the University of Toledo. Mathis chose Toledo over offers from Georgia Tech, James Madison, Kent State, UMASS, Old Dominion and Pittsburgh.
Mathis, a 5-11 and 170 pound defensive back prospect, took his official visit to Toledo this past weekend, 1/17/2014. Mathis is the 2nd player that visited this past weekend and have committed to Toledo since the visit. The other is three star outside linebacker Anthony Davis of Tampa, FL.

Mathis has been recruited to Toledo by assistant coaches DK McDonald and Jason Candle. He's been recruited to play defensive back for the Rockets.
Trevon Mathis is the 22nd commitment in Toledo's 2014 football recruiting class. He is also the third player to commit to Toledo in the last five days.
