Lakewood Receiver Commits to Toledo

Toledo head coach Matt Campbell has developed a pipeline from Lakewood High School in St Petersburg, FL all the way up to Toledo, Ohio. Toledo's 2010 recruiting class brought wide receiver and kick returner Bernard Reedy north to Toledo's campus. Last year's class brought wide receiver Rodney Adams, a USA Football all-star participant. Now the 2014 class has added a commitment from wide receiver Andrew Davis.

Davis is more along the size of Rodney Adams than Reedy. The 2014 prospect is 6-3 and 180 pounds.

Davis has chosen Toledo over offers from Ball State, Iowa State, Marshall, and Middle Tennessee State.

Andrew has very good hands and good speed, like both Reedy and Adams before him. Davis was recruited to Toledo by assistant coach Jason Candle.

Andrew is not the only Lakewood player that is being recruited by Toledo. He has a twin brother, Aidan, who is also a wide receiver at Lakewood High School. Aidan has an offer from Toledo as well, but has not committed at this point.
