Hester Makes Decision

Matt Campbell and the Toledo football staff picked up commitment #25 this evening when three star defensive tackle Treyvon Hester told the staff at Toledo that he will sign a National Letter of Intent for them on Wednesday.
Hester is a 6-3, 290 pound prospect from Penn Hills SHS in Pittsburgh, PA. He is ranked the #35 defensive tackle prospect in the country for the 2012 recruiting class, and the 15th best overall prospect out of the state of Pennsylvania. He is rated 5.7 stars by Rivals.com, the highest point total that a three star prospect can achieve.

Treyvon chose Toledo over offers from Eastern Michigan, Kansas, Kent State, UMASS, Old Dominion, Pittsburgh, and Temple.
Hester is also a talented offensive lineman and could move to offense once he gets to Toledo, but for now he was recruited as a defensive tackle.
Hester is the third commitment in Toledo's 2012 recruiting class from Penn Hills SHS. Three star wide receiver Corey Jones, safety Chaz Whittaker, and Hester all took their official visits to Toledo on the weekend of January 20th. Whittaker and Jones committed to the Rocket football program on their official visits, but Hester wanted to take on more official visit to Pittsburgh this past weekend before making a decision.
The Penn Hills SHS pipeline to Toledo has been very good over the years. Former Toledo players Barry Church, Archie Donald Tyrrell Herbert were all from Penn Hills SHS.
Hester is the 25th commitment in Toledo's 2012 football recruiting class, which is currently the #1 ranked recruiting class in the Mid-American Conference.
