Florida Speedster Commits

Jason Candle and the Toledo Rockets got a huge commitment this afternoon from Pompano Beach, FL athlete Calvin Jackson. Jackson is the sixth commitment from the state of Florida in Toledo's 2016 football recruiting class.

The 5-8 athlete projects as a slot receiver at Toledo. He had offers from Akron, Bowling Green, FAU, FIU, Iowa State, Temple, Toledo, Utah and Utah State. He recently narrowed his list to three schools in Akron, Iowa State and Toledo. He visited Toledo on 1/15, Iowa State on 1/22, and Akron on 1/29. Sunday evening he narrowed his choices to Akron and Toledo, before ultimately committing to Toledo today.

Jackson was recruited to Toledo by wide receivers coach Derek Sage and head coach Jason Candle.
