Florida Athlete Commits to Toledo

Jacksonville, FL athlete Jacquez Williams has committed to Toledo. The 6-1, 182 pound athlete took an official visit to Toledo this weekend. Entering the visit, Williams had offers from Charlotte, UMASS, Warner and Western Kentucky, but Williams was hoping for a Toledo offer.

After spurning a visit to UMASS to go to Toledo this weekend, things paid off for Jacquez when Toledo head coach Jason Candle offered him a scholarship on Sunday morning. Williams was paired with Toledo wide receiver Darryl Richards during his official visit this weekend and had a great time.

Williams was excited about the Toledo offer, but wanted to go back home and talk things over with his family before making his final decision. That decision came quickly this evening, in favor of the Rockets.

Williams is being recruited to Toledo as an athlete, but will likely play defensive back for the Rockets.
