DeJuan Rogers Commits to Toledo

The University of Toledo picked up a commitment from Detroit Cass Tech defensive back DeJuan Rogers when he announced that he chose Toledo over Syracuse and Northern Illinois. The 6-0, 175 pound Cass Tech standout has offers from Toledo, Syracuse, Northern Illinois, Buffalo, Central Michigan, Eastern Michigan, and Western Michigan. He recently narrowed his list to a final three of Toledo, Syracuse, and Northern Illinois before choosing the Rockets today.
Rogers recorded 56 tackles with two interceptions and two forced fumbles as a junior in 2011.

Rogers is friends with current Rocket Kishon Wilcher, who attented Cass Tech before signing with Toledo in the 2011 recruiting class. Kishon's father is the head football coach at Cass Tech as well.
DeJuan has visited Toledo's campus several times. "I like it every time I go down there," Rogers told Rivals.com afiliate CuseConfidential.com last week. He added, "They have good facilities and are a winning program also."
Rogers is the 6th commitment in Toledo's 2013 football recruiting class. He is the first commitment from the state of Michigan, joining three commitments from Ohio, one from Illinois, and one from Pennsylvania.
